Well that explains the emblems. Maybe the Faction Quest has more steps we're not aware of yet either.

No those are bugged don't complete them. The subclass quests you can complete now.

It means the emblems OP talks about are not obtained how he thinks they are. They will be a Crucible quest line reward that is started on the 15th.
