Woods wanders the new ship for some time to get his bearings. It was quite the sight, this recently discovered leviathan. It was definitely different than most ships he'd been on, the lay out seemed much different than any NATO, instead of being utilitarian in nature this ship seemed to have many unnecessary embellishments. He headed towards an armory to inspect some of the weapons in there. They were covered with dust and as he picked up one about the size of his rifle it lite up and the dust was blown off of it. He checked the the magazine, it appeared to be a hard light energy pack. NATO was working on a technology but this was years ahead, he replaced the magazine and slung it over his shoulder. He moved on and kept looting the armory. There was more than enough for anyone who wanted them, he would make sure that NATO would get a large crate of this lost technology.

You see passed out over a counter, multiple alchohol bottles around me
-
Woods walks over to him, this drunk couldn't have passed out somewhere else?
-
"Not drunk. I know what you're thinking. Everyone thinks that. This alcohol is damn good though."
-
"Right. I didn't say a thing."
-
"Didn't have to. Been drunk for about 5 years running now."
-
"That's quite the accomplishment. Not a day sober?"
-
"Nope. At this point, the accumulative hangover would probably kill me. So I have to stay drunk." I take a drink out of a bottle then smile "Or that's what I tell myself."
-
"That doesn't sound healthy. I'd see a doctor, your liver must be dead or nearly there."
-
"Meh. My liver has probably been destroyed by now. Nothing a doctor can do."
-
You see a man carrying multiple duffle bags into the armory and sets them in an empty part of the armory*
-
Woods wondered why the man had need of duffle bags of weapons. If he were that careless with his gear he should reevaluate his career choice. If he was passing them off he needed to know who else had interest with this tech. "That's a lot of room for gear. Lose your weapons a lot?"
-
He chuckles* "no, i know where all four of my weapons are at all times." he starts opening the duffle bags*
-
"Then why the duffle bags, not a arms dealer I hope." He says as his hand brushes his sidearm's holster.
-
"Im not, Im a gunsmith. Besides, we are on a vessel with little people on board. If i were an arms dealer, you would think i would choose a more populated place to set up shop, right?" he unpacks an array of tools, metals, ores, and parts for two machines*
-
"No, not to get your supply. If you are a gunsmith then I assume you want to copy the design?"
-
"What design?" he assembles a small refinery and puts together another machine*
-
"Hard light weapons."
-
"Hard light weapons? Nah, not those... Yet. Right now i specialize in ballistic weaponry. Yes, its primitive and archaic compared to what other manufacturers and worksmen offer, but to my people you cant go wrong with keeping things simple." he then shows you a sawed off double barrel shotgun*
-
"Most people still use ballistic weapons, not as unpredictable as laser weaponry and much easier to make than hard light."
-
"Energy weapons sound like they would be an assassin's dream weapon, what with no ballistic trace left on the victim."
-
"Well, given that they are loud, expensive, and are totally unreliable I doubt they would."
-
"Oh, theyre unreliable? Doesnt everybody know newer isnt always better?" he pulls out a base model replica of his personal weapon and sets it on the counter* "this heavy shotgun has been invented 60 years ago in my system, and variants are still used today amongst the populace!"
-
Woods motions to his personal rifle, sitting on a table, magazines laying next to it. "That weapons platform was made thirty years ago, it's reliable, got decent stopping power and accurate up to one thousand meters on full auto, further on single shot. I can mount a number of attachments and sights, all in all a solid weapon. "
-
"Not bad. Whichever force you serve must have a lot of money to make a rifle that accurate on full auto."
-
"Well, NATO does tend to have a lot of funding, now that each member nation has an entire planet, some times multiple at its disposal."
