I prefer option 3. Work together to figure out the truth. End the bias opinions, and except that they are both wrong about certain things. Use information from both sides to capture the full picture. There are 2 sides to every story, and when we choose one side or the other it will only cause arguments. Look at both sides however and we might some day come to an agreeable conclusion.
