Because religious parents still beat their children for questioning
Not wholly true. I grew up religious, and when I told my parents I was having some doubts about our religion, we sat down and had a peaceful conversation and I felt much better afterwards.
Because atheists are still discriminated
I agree. That's very sad because some of my best friends are atheist and they're all really great guys. It's sad that atheists are mostly represented by idiots who give atheists a bad name. Same goes for Christians.

I don't really know how to respond to this one to be quite honest.

Because religious parents still beat their children for questioning
Not wholly true. I grew up religious, and when I told my parents I was having some doubts about our religion, we sat down and had a peaceful conversation and I felt much better afterwards. Many children have been beaten. I have and I have watched others get beaten for it too, both in church and home
Because atheists are still discriminated
I agree. That's very sad because some of my best friends are atheist and they're all really great guys. It's sad that atheists are mostly represented by idiots who give atheists a bad name. Same goes for Christians. Although that's true, I'm more talking more about actual discrimination as would be recognised as akin to anti-semitism or racism
Because a congressman came out as gay before atheist
I don't really know how to respond to this one to be quite honest. It shows that being an atheist is more deplorable and horrid than being gay. It's signing yourself into being a social pariah
