Well in all fairness... From the surface of mars, Phobos would look like a tiny point of light in the sky. So Clearly bungie has some issues with scale. On a more exciting note, I cant remember where I was, but on earth you can see mars in the night sky. It's also a little off of scale (but not by much)

Yeah, the cabal strapped rockets to Phobos. They can move it wherever they want
-
The Cabal have probably been manipulating the orbit of Phobos.
-
That doesnt change the fact that it's WAY to big in the sky. It's a good 5% of the skybox. That would mean Phobos itself is stationary just like 100 miles from mars, as opposed to the 5800 it currently assumes. The tidal forces alone would rip it apart there, let alone it being a completely unsustainable orbit :P
-
That's correct. Somewhere it mentions that the psions changed phobos's orbit
-
I think I read something about that, but couldn't remember the source. The Cabal are preparing Phobos for eventually launching it at the earth, right?
-
Supposedly they are running from the Hive and had the Psion Flayers move it closer so they can destroy Mars if it got infested.
