So, I'm currently living in a hotel, and managed to connect to the WiFi here on my Xbox, by switching the MAC adress from my computer to the Xbox. I've already downloaded the Taken King update, but on the start screen, it automatically says Canary error. Any things I can do that wont affect anyone else? I really wanna play Destiny.

I finally figured it out.... How to play destiny on any hot spot wifi (Hotels, xfinity, or any other wifi that requires a log in). After many frustrating hrs and a couple of beers I finally realized that destiny will not let you log in unless you have the same MAC address as your xbox..there were alot of steps so if anyone is still having this issue please feel free to message me over the xbox one app for some reason i dont get messages through the bungie app. My gammer tag is xSCARFACE06x -You will need a windows computer or macbook to do this -If I get alot of messages I will make a tutorial

I have figured it out. But you need a laptop or desktop currently connected to internet. Plug in your xbone to your computer through ethernet and then go into your computer and change the network type to shared under properties. Make sure xbox is set to wired connection and everything is automatic.

Staying at a hotel now. Did some research on this, had the same problem. Seems the only solution is to contact it support at your hotel and have them enter your xb1 Mac address. Works perfectly now except the unstable connection speed for my hotel.

Edited by NEROS MADNESS: 9/20/2015 11:13:12 PMI am also having this issue at a Marriott in Baltimore. All other gamees hulu and live work... Just not Destiny.... Update. Fixed. Issue was the alternate macid. Destiny didn't like my doing that. I called the it tech support through the front desk, they added my actual Mac I'd and its all good now
