I'm sorry, what is the most LEGENDARY rock back to ever exist?
Led Zeppelin. Hands down. Doesn't matter who you compare to, Zeppelin innovated music. Period. They changed the game.
Let's see, Led Zeppelin I turns 50 in three years. How many dubstep songs that are from today will be relevant in 50, or even 3 years. I'll give you a hint, its 0.

Led Zeppelin blatantly ripped off so many songs and called it their own though. It's in their own style, but they didn't even give credit to the songs they got their rhythms from

A lot of the stuff was changed so much that it didn't matter. Some of it is really blatant, but that doesn't change their genius.

Totally, I enjoy their music and style. But I honestly wouldn't call them innovative if a lot of their music wasn't even made by them.

Zeppelin spawned out of the Yardbirds EDiT: All of them come from a blessed background for the most part, not Beatles rock.
