A meter is roughly 3 feet. 5 million meters is about 3000 miles. Safe to bet his ship lengthwise can stretch from NYC to LA.

Someone in government is pushing to switch over right now but if I remember correctly they did this in the 80s and it was a complete failure Metric is 10 times easier to follow

They tried back then but the big companies gmc and ford didn't want to spend the money to convert so the country didn't convert And this was allowed because gmc and ford paid for a lot of government officials campaigns so they kinda had to listen

Well Meters are excepted in the scientific community and our system make zero sense while metric is far better. Since this is international the we go with the fact that more people use metric then not.
