Pot causes irregular brain structure which effects memory and intelligence. Also if pot was legalized it would be much harder for teens and kids to stay away from. If I don't want my child to be around stones, best way is to not have it legalized. And about it not being addictive, it can be for many people. Also, it has WORSE side effects on the body compared to tobacco. It can lower your white nervous tissue and can lead to premature alzeimers. Lastly, if we do legalize it in all of America, then why not legalize everything? I believe that is the main reason we shouldn't is that slowly but surely every drug would be legalized and I personally would not want to live in a community where people are stupidly and freely able to do drugs.
Edit: You all have the right to believe in whatever you want, and I will not insult you for that, but I too am allowed to believe in what I want to

This is possibly one of the most fallacious arguments I've ever read lol

So much bullshit in this post.

Edited by kingST3ALTH: 9/12/2015 9:27:56 PMYou're whole statement is peppered with red herring fallacies. Everything should not be legal. That would be a very stupid -blam!-ing idea. All of your points are so drastic they make no sense. Pot is not addictive. There is research to prove it. You cannot get addicted to Marijuana. You can only get addicted to getting high.
-
So pot doesn't get you high? If you can only get addicted to getting high, and pot isn't addictive, then what is happening to everyone when they use pot?
-
Marijuana isn't -blam!-ing addictive. It's the high that is addictive you ignorant -blam!-.

Edited by Joshua : 9/13/2015 2:40:54 AMThe addiction comes from the surge of dopamine released in the brain when thc is introduced to the system. Thc is the actual cause of the addiction; pot is the vessel of said addiction. Wet can debate back and forth all we want on whether or not pot can be considered addictive, but it still remains that it contains an addictive chemical. If you want to split hairs and say that thc is addictive and not pot, then go ahead. Pot still contains it, and as such can be considered addictive.
-
Ok let's agree on that then.

Works for me. Good day to you sir!

I love maryjane but haven't smoked since last year. I didn't quit and that mind frame she puts me in is great. You can get maryj with less of the feeling high chemicals and the pain relieving chemicals at higher levels. My aunt has a lot of issues and she'll eat edibles to relieve the pain but never wants to feel high.
-
Your aunt loves getting stoned
-
Hmm, maybe I worded it incorrectly. She doesn't get high but takes edibles for pain relief. The edibles don't give her that stoned feeling.
-
Yeah, I know this. I was just questioning good post, because how he phrased getting high as the addictive part. If phrased relating to alcohol like some in the topic keep comparing, it would be like saying only getting drunk is addictive, and not alcohol. Yes you can get drinks with a lower alcohol content, but the chemicals it doesn't change that the alcohol is involved. There is a big difference in the chemical make up of medical marijuana and that which people use to get high, but if used enough to cause the same chemical levels in the body medical marijuana would have the same effect. It would just take a much larger amount.
-
You can get high in many ways such like the high feeling from mary jane. My father used it instead of going in for chemo and guess eho doesnt have cancer anymore.
-
Wrong on so many levels.

How many deaths from alcohol? How many deaths from tobacco? How many deaths from marijuana? Go ahead ill wait.
