To be fair, and I could be wrong but I don't think I am... smoking anything is kinda bad for your health, as the act of burning and then inhaling the stuff messes with your lungs.
On another note, also fairly sure that Marijuana is well on its way to being legal, which makes this post kinda unnecessary, eh?

Yeah you're right, vaporizers can minimize the smoke for a remedy to chemotherapy But with cases like epilepsy the oils are much more useful. Regardless if you can drink alcohol you should be able to smoke pot recreationaly imo

Looks like that puts it right up there with most medicinal drugs produced today. I've yet to see a medicine, be it psychoactive or not, that doesn't have its risks and side effects. The most noticeable in my book? Antidepressants. Commercials for them state that when taking the advertised antidepressant, one must watch out for increases in suicidal tendencies. Fun times.
-
So true. They're all drugs that affect your neurotransmitters. Side effects are expected, unfortunately.
-
Legal at state levels. Still illegal on a federal level.
-
I'm pretty sure the federal gov't must respect the state's law now
-
Tell that to all the distribution centers that get raided every day. Federal Law trumps State Law every time.

Edited by Apollo3249: 9/12/2015 11:28:57 PMYeah that's the thing, as of recently I dont think they can do that anymore
-
It's been over a year since I've had to use a distribution center, so you may be correct.
-
I'm sure that'll come later, once they figure out how to separate the medicine from the recreation aspect of it.
-
Seeing as it saved my dads life, I'm all for medicinal marijuana.
-
You could eat it.
-
Knew this already. A bit fuzzy on whether or not you still reap the medical benefits from eating it though. Pretty sure you don't get high without eating a lot of it.
-
Try it and find out, but start slow. It can creep up on you.
-
The matter of potency would depend on what you were trying to treat and also on your tolerance. Since you haven't done it it wouldn't be that much. As for eating vs. smoking, eating will give you more of a body high and make you feel more relaxed (indica) or more energy (sativa). This way is used to treat pains, nerve problems, pretty much anything with the body. Smoking gives you more of a head high. Indica and sativas pretty much do the same. But since smoking is more for the head, then it helps with mental ailments, and also some nerve pains and other stuff that I'm missing

Very nice. I've only done a little bit of research on the subject, but aside from what they taught us in school (only recently graduated Highschool), Mary Jane is nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be.

When my father had cancer, we got him THC gummy bears. They probably saved his life. Increasing his appetite, allowing him to eat and keep it down. Also the effect it had on his mood was dramatic. Going from being depressed to being far more relaxed and optimistic. Cancer free for two years now. There are many types of consumables. I'm only an advocate for medicinal purposes, not recreational.
-
Meh. People are gonna do with it what they will. Not even the law can stop them, just look at the Prohibition. Can't deny the medicinal benifits though. Glad to hear that, about the gummy bears and all. One day Cancer will be manageable, just like Alzheimers.
-
Burning it causes carcinogens just like anything burning and inhaling the smoke, but smoking a vaporizer does not
-
Well huffing a vaporizer and smoking a joint are two different things, no? In any case, it's slowly winning legality. This post may have been made to rustle some jimmies.
