Yeah it's so unbelievably -blam!-ed up that Prison has become a for-profit industry, guaranteeing a profit motive in perpetuating the status quo no matter how many lives are destroyed in the process. It is profoundly corrupt and evil, and I feel like we're living in a dystopian nightmare as a result of something like that existing.
