MJ isn't addictive but definitely is a gateway drug. I have friends that smoke all the time for PTSD, back injuries, and just recreational. It's not bad (alcohol is a drug too). I've been living straight edge for about a year so haven't smoked, drank, or anything else.

Thing is, there's no need to smoke it. There are a number of ways to take it medically that don't destroy your lungs. In any case, all drugs behave differently when the user is in pain. Recreational use is the problem, same as any other substance.
-
I don't agree with it just because it's a gateway drug. I completely agree that recreational is the problem. That why people move onto Molly, extasy, blow, and eventually things like heroine and methamphetamines.
-
Exactly. It may or may not be physically addictive, but psychologically, it certainly is. Most users feel the need to get high at any cost.
-
MJ is addictive i lost my real dad to it. I know first hand what it can do to people.
-
That's BS. To overdose form Hemp, you have to smoke 473G in 15min. Which is impossible.
-
Ibdidnt say he died, he got addictive and abandoned moron lol
-
You shouldn't joke about things like that. If he really was it was a phycological addiction. You can't become physically dependent on it. My dad is a recovering meth addict. I know more about drugs and addiction than you can understand.
-
I would argue that a psychological addiction can be just as damaging, and more complex to fix in some circumstances. My aunt died recently because she was an alcoholic, that is a psychological addiction but it was enough to kill her, I understand your point but don't diminish someone else's troubles and patronise someone just because you think you have it worse.
-
I don't have it bad. I fought with tobacco addiction for years but I'm better now. I honestly think this is a troll but if it isn't I would like to understand how that happened because I've never heard of a serious pot addiction. I understand that many physiological problems aren't easy to fix but honestly don't think this story is believable.
-
It's possible, people love to exaggerate to demonise things they don't agree with, and while I neither have seen anyone with that serious an addiction, I have seen the use of pot change people I know, generally not it a positive way.
-
I agree. Never seen it affect anyone positively
-
Nope, i understand more.
-
Obviously not if you consider pot highly addictive and something that destroys lives. How did you lose you father to pot?
-
He got addicted to it. Duh
-
I think that some of the added chemicals in MJ is addictive but it's not deadly. Your dad probably took something else...

True.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Look I honestly don't care. Your Dad's dead... Get over it. I dislike weed as much as the next person but blaming it as the cause of your Dad's death is dumb. He's probably pushing up daisies because of his own stupidity.
-
I didnt say he died lmao
