Um no, MJ is not legal in your state, or any of the 50 states. It is still federally illegal. federal law > state law. Just pointing that out.

  • For one, this is not the right forum to post such a topic in. Also, you're posting about a disgusting and illegal use of a controlled substance. Free speech is relative. It certainly doesn't give you the right to flap your gums about drug abuse.

  • Actually in Washington state (where this site is ran) weed is completely legal. So if in any case, we have every right to talk about weed on this website. Since it's legal in the state said website is ran.

  • It's against federal law. Last I checked, Washington is part of the USA. Federal law supersedes state law. So yeah, it's illegal.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/499 really now? Because according to this, that was taken off the listed of controlled substances list in 2013. If you going to try bringing up federal law, at least know what you're talking about. Your info is 2 years outdated. But please, keep making an ass of yourself.

That's a bill. Not a passed legislation. More recent articles state that it's still federally illegal. You're welcome to continue being a moron, but you'll only make a bigger fool of yourself.

  • Touché. I didn't fully read the entire article. I however am man enough to admit a mistake. Regardless, in 2014 the Feds agreed to stop busting dispensaries in California. So I highly HIGHLY doubt they're gonna crack down on people in Washington state where is completely legal. And I don't agree with anything you've said. I'm a 4.0 college student with a 32 on my ACT and I smoke daily. So your whole speech about how kids are rotting their brains away is complete bs. Hell if it wasn't for pot, I'd probably have committed suicide by now. Not because I need it, but because when my mom died I was depressed and pot got me out of that. I don't like it when people slander something that benefitted my life and has benefitted countless others. Oh and the whole "illegal or legal" concept. Let's look and booze and cigarettes. They kill millions every year. Pot has never killed a single person in it's history of existence. So explain how it's morally and politically right for something that kills millions to be legal, but something that couldn't kill you if you does is illegal. I'd love to hear your "reasoning"

  • Honestly, tobacco is only legal because it's absurdly profitable (which is one of the biggest reasons people push for cannabis legalization). Alcohol is only dangerous when consumed in large quantities over an extended period of time. Smoking marajuana impairs judgement quicker and more thoroughly than alcohol consumption, ruins your lungs, forms a habit, and adversely affects brain cells. These are proven facts. "Doesn't kill"? That's straight wishful thinking.

  • Seriously I know you have google. Google how many people have died from marijuana consumption. More people have died from peanuts. Oh and marijuana can be consumed without smoking eat. There's this thing called "brownies" that I've never seen with any smoke. Has for the impaired judgement ect. I call bs. I've been driving high everywhere I go for years now. I've never been in a wreck, hell the worst thing that's ever happened to be while high was I missed a stop sign that was covered by a tree. Marijuana can be more profitable than tobacco if it were legal on an international level like tobacco, but no one has taken that chance. Last I recall studying pot in high school (in health ed to be specific) there were 0 deaths related to it's consumption and the only effects it had were hunger, thirst and short term memory loss.

  • Question: Why do you care if other people besides yourself smoke weed? Is it that you like control? Is it because you want to force others to view things the way you do? Go away. Your words disgust me, and for that, I mute you.
I don't like your facts because they go against my opinion.
That's essentially what you just said. Very mature. As for why, I don't particularly like the idea of kids rotting their brains away (Weed is proven to have an adverse affect on the brain, and any drug impairs mental development). Also, drivers were bad enough before they were high all the time. Oh, and you don't have the right. Just like you don't have the right to discuss committing murder, theft, -blam!-, or any other crime.

  • Putting words in my mouth? Very mature. I do have the right to speak about what I want, when I want. May it be murder, -blam!- or theft. You have the right to say whatever you want in this country. I was not offended by your facts, I was offended by the fact that you said I don't have the right to say what I want! It's my First Amendment right to say what I want, no matter how vulgar it may be.

  • First Amendment - Religion and Expression. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. He's right. The first amendment gives him the right to say whatever he pleased. He can say he murdered 500 people if he wants. He can also say if a drug is good or bad in his opinion. Or do we need to make a new amendment for freedom of opinions?

Discussion of illegal activities in the context of committing crime is against the law. Free speech is relative. It does not grant you permission to infringe on another person's rights.

  • How am I discussing illegal activities? I am simply stating that I support the legalization of Hemp. Therefore, according to your logic, I can say what I have said legally.
