Thing is, there's no need to smoke it. There are a number of ways to take it medically that don't destroy your lungs.
In any case, all drugs behave differently when the user is in pain. Recreational use is the problem, same as any other substance.

I don't agree with it just because it's a gateway drug. I completely agree that recreational is the problem. That why people move onto Molly, extasy, blow, and eventually things like heroine and methamphetamines.

Exactly. It may or may not be physically addictive, but psychologically, it certainly is. Most users feel the need to get high at any cost.
