We all know what the "real" sports are. By your reasoning, although technically correct, gaming is considered a sport as well. I don't view that as one either
English
-
Gaming doesn't involve physical exertion.
-
gaming is not a sport and doesn't involve physical movements
Just Dance dude on the Xbox and PlayStation provided you have the Kinect sensor on Xbox and the same thing with PlayStation too
-
a sport doesn't need physical exertion band boy
-
Isn't that part of the definition?
-
Edited by Parad0x: 9/13/2015 12:43:38 AMIt's a sport now. Porn is a sport and gaming is a sport pretty soon napping and breathing will be a sport as well. Edit- forgot to mention that people have gotten scholarships to college for gaming and some colleges even have gaming teams with a coach and they compete with other college teams.
-
By definition, gaming isn't a sport because it doesn't require physical exertion.
-
But they made it sport it's a -blam!-ing legal sport doesn't matter if by definition they made it a sport. Therefor it's a damn sport.
-
What do you mean by legal sport?
-
It's not just something people call a sport it's a real sport just like soccer hockey and football. The only reason I said legal sport I'd because I couldn't think of the word. It's also only a sport because is has physical contact and movement. But lacks competition ATM.
-
What determines wether or not a sport is "real"? And a sport requires direct competition therefor porn isn't a sport just like me running on a treadmill isn't a sport.
-
Yeah it shouldn't be a sport but it has recently been deemed a sport for no -blam!-ing reason what so ever.
-
Wether or not someone deems it a sport has nothing to do with wether or not it is a sport.
-
Yes it does if the people who decide what and what isn't a sport want it to be a sport make it a sport it's not hard.
-
"Sport" is a term that we use to describe certain activities. Porn doesn't fall under the description so it isn't a sport until the definition of "sport" changes or porn changes.
-
You just really don't like to be wrong. It has physical contact your moving and the two or more people having sex are competing with one another I suppose. There for it is a sport now. Should it really be a sport? No no it shouldn't but is it a sport? Sadly yes.
-
They aren't competing as there is no winner or loser.
-
In the fingers, so technically it does. Bottom line is, neither one of them are "real" sports
-
The word "exertion" implies something strenuous and tiring. Moving your thumbs isn't strenuous. What is a "real" sport and who gets to define it?
-
Taking a shit is strenuous, is that also a sport?
-
Nope. It may be strenuous to some but it lacks a competition that is watched by others for enjoyment.
-
But it's considered a sport, like the esports or whatever it's called. All I'm saying, most people in marching band(key word most, are not athletic what so ever)
-
By definition, gaming isn't a sport. By definition, marching band is a sport because you compete and it involves physical exertion.
-
You Compete on gaming teams as well. They will okay WoW for example and compete.
