4 RepliesThere was no such thing as an online game when I was a kid lol. We did something called play outside, ride a contraption called a bicycle, see something bright in the sky called a sun...best yet there was no lag :-)

I used to play LAN multiplayer before online even exist. Games like heretic, doom, quake, etc... and before that atari and comodore 64

Back in my day we had no internet. We had split screens and siblings, and we were damn grateful for it. I played Unreal Tournament against bots and it was still fun. Before I got good at action games I'd just sit and watch my older brother play. The ones I remember most are the first Resident Evil, and Half Life. I loved Half Life. I can't believe that 15 years later I still enjoy watching people play videogames, almost as much as playing them myself. PS: [b]stop making me feel old[/b].

Young(er) and online only? I didn't get on board the online thing until later in life, but I loved Unreal Tournament 2004.

Back in 2002 I played a game called Legends of Temuair. It was in beta, hosted by Nexon. It was incredibly in-depth at its time, allowing players to become Guards (police) and then they can get votes from the players to become Judges, who will then determine who can or cannot go jail with the proper trial. There were all kinds of classes, typical MMO stuff. There were different gods/goddess you could worship and by doing so you could attend mass and gain a ton of XP and level up. Met my first online friend there, Eleana. Cool Priestess, and her sister Elemap who was also a Priestess. I was a Wizard. After it ended around 2004-5, I joined Ragnarok Online for about 10 years or so, before leaving that. Met most of my friends now through Ragnarok.
