My main problem is that the groups pushing for legalization are not the scientific community but make all these scientific claims. Last I checked the center for cancer research in UK had compiled all studies on marijuana and did a meta analysis in which they determined there are no significant data supporting it's cancer fighting abilities. In the data they had the synthetic thc did much better than natural thc. So when people come off with the it cures this or helps with that then it is nothing but anecdotal. Do you think the big pharmaceutical companies would not love to cash in on synthetic thc if it is legalized? Most of the people, I personally know, that push for legalization are your average smokers that use it on a fairly regular basis. They just want to smoke and not risk getting in trouble; they do not have a single care if it could help any one medically.
