Phasing was always a strange experience, regardless of how familiar you were with it. Having your very essence stretched between dimensions is nauseating, to say the least. When Eric and Pants arrive on the ship with the droid carcass, Eric nearly vomits. He had been so eager, so prepared to join, that he realize he hadn't phased since... Since...
Unnamed Planet: One Year Ago
"Well... At least we made it here alive... Wherever the hell we are right now."
Ginger strolls across the rocky outlook, eclipsing the bright orange sun as he did so. He looked every bit the warrior he was; regal, yet sleek in his Gungnir-Class armor. He turns around to see Eric staring down at his feet behind him.
"Err... Are you ok Eric? You do-"
Eric doesn't hesitate to attack, quickly blasting Ginger with his Antimatter Rifle. On most targets, the round would completely obliterate its foe, but the round only staggered Ginger, whose shields were flaring. Ginger, who was unarmed, quickly slid under a shot, and then boosted towards Eric, directing all of his force into the point of his shoulder. The gun in Eric's hand is knocked away as he raises it to protect himself, and he draws his particle blade. Artemis could augment his reaction time and his speed, but he knew that he wouldn't last long against a foe of this caliber. He swings twice: a slash towards the knees, and a thrust towards the face. Ginger grabbed the fallen rifle, intercepts the stab with it, and then punches Eric in the shoulder with all his strength. Every tendon and bone in his shoulder shatters with a sickening crunch, and he realizes with a jolt that he can't feel anything in his right arm. As his body shuts down from the pain, Ginger picks up the sword, and raises it towards Eric's neck... But drops the sword, and walks away as Eric falls unconscious.
When he eventually woke up, he had to phase aboard a nearby freighter, sneak along with its cargo, and hid in the nearest system. There, he got his artificial arm, and began searching for a career... Which eventually brought him here.
The Alamo: Present Day
Eric wakes up, realizing that he had fallen unconscious. He had been placed in the medbay, with a 30mm round in his thigh, and apparent trauma. What they didn't realize is that the repercussions of his betrayal haunted him to this day...
(Open to talk about the droid, or just to check on him)

Jt walks by the medbay, and notices both of you Hey. You guys okay?
-
Eric groans and holds his head as he sits up "Well, I'm alright."
-
Alright then. What happened?
-
"Well, as soon as I got there they disengaged the Railgun and sent it into slipspace, and then they sent a few waves of war droids towards me. I felt with most of them, and then Pants came and dealt with the rest. We brought a sample for you to investigate." He points over to the carcass of a droid.
-
I investigate it I think I have found something. It seems they spared no expenses. I'll let the science team figure this shit out
-
"Can you identify it?"
-
No. I mean they put top of the line shit on this thing. Alpha, you mind explaining? An AI hologram appears on my shoulder Alpha: Certainly. They have QR-XC5 shielding, meaning bullets bounce off. They have top of the line weaponry that is unknown to me, and they seem to have a hive mind. That is my assumption, anyways. What it looks to be. Thank you, alpha.
-
"Well, they were certainly vulnerable to whatever they were shooting, and Gauss rounds. Should we try energy-dipped ballistics?"
-
Maybe. If not, I say we reprogram these assholes to serve us, and put some in their ship. Then we pack enough explosives to send em to hell and back.

Edited by Inflatablepants: 9/13/2015 12:53:33 PM*nose is still bleeding* Aghhhhh. How come I feel like I had the worst hangover EVER?! *is in a chair beside you* You good Eric? You've been out for a couple hours.
-
He groans and holds his head "I think I'm alright... Feel hungover as well... Dammit this hurts."
-
You should try to master that don't you think? *puts more tissue in nose*
-
"You can't just master it; no matter how many times you do it. It's technology, not magic."
-
Ah. Well maybe your body just has to get used to it? Just keep doing it until its adjusted?
-
He grunts. "Feel free to test that out, 'cause I never want to phase again currently."
-
Haha! I'm sure you will in the future
-
"Sadly... How are you, by the way?"
-
Fine. Besides these damn nosebleeds! But I think it's dried up now.
-
"Well that's good. The first time I phased, someone exited the stream a bloody pulp, with their organs outside of their body and their bones crunched up and scattered inside of them. He was still alive you, for a few seconds. Good thing bloody noses are the worst of your problems."
-
Jeez! Ya I guess I am lucky!
