I don't think it's necessarily bad to be a christian, it's just quite obviously wrong. And when you base your life decisions on a two thousand year old book, it means common sense and decency can be thrown out of the window. Look at the gay issue; there is no evidence that being gay is a bad thing, a handful of lines in your book dictate the way many of you treat all those people.
