The funny part about it is the big companies are starting to buy out the micro brews. "You're charging how much for that beer? Holy shit, we need to get on top of this and cash in"

LOL ... you dont understand WHY they charge more... They use REAL ingredients.. they dont have massive scale ... The big breweries buy the name... -blam!- the beer and sell it at same price.. but totally -blam!- UP the brewing process... by using cheap ingredients ... Go to a small local brewery... see how much these people LOVE beer ! Drink it... Then go to a MASSIVE brewery... see how much they love beer ;-) and drink it ... If you cant see the difference... by all means stick to mass beer... if you can.. Im sure you will favor small breweries... the difference is too huge not to notice ;-) IMBEV is biggest brewery in world ... from belgium...and not other country in the world has more independent local breweries then Belgium (per person)... the mass beer is mostly for export and people who want to get drunk drinking beer.... Real beer drinkers (who drink for taste) prefer real beer ;-)

Im Dutch... where Heineken comes from... actually its about 10 KM from where I work now .. the factory ... I really dont like it... besides its PILS not Beer ;-) But eeeeeej... after 2 REAL BEERS.. .you can drink anything ... the taste wont matter that much anymore ;-)

I think you're missing my point. I drink a lot of micros. I was making the point of the bigs buying out the smaller ones. They will lose their identity real fast. Which is already happening. Which is a bummer.

I hope TTIP will never come ... but the corporations rule world ... so ...
