Because all everyone wants is their characters to be the best at their jobs, and then they give them the most wack-ass supernatural crud items they can think of! Stephenson has always just been a particularly skilled man with a checkered past, a dim future, calloused fists, and a well-oiled gun, trying to live how he can. And now that everyone else can evicerate him with a snap of their fingers or a wave of their Super-Ooper-De-Whooper-Looper-Duper-Magic-Presto-Boingo-Zippo-Wham-Bam-Flapdoole-Jedi-Jesus Powers, there's no point in me hanging around.

I understand that people need to be limited in there creations but if the supernatural opness isn't effecting the bounty or the RP mechanics I say let them be free for pure story telling intent.

Dude. I can't accomplish a single goal BECAUSE of the OP people. I tailed Desert's guy during the bounty last night, shot Cross in the face, and left, but everything got so tangled up that one of the craziest Psion characters in the game got the kill- and the rewards that should have gone to EVERYONE who participated- and my post was promptly buried.

Thats not what I am trying to telegraph here. If they wan't to be god the have to create their own post and not destroy the bounty.

Why should I stay? Nobody wants to interact! They just want more crazy-ass supernatural stuff, with closed posts, and no obstacles to their OPness. The whole place barely has any interaction from its founders, and even they fall victim to the same problems!

I see where you are coming from. Every time I post an open post no one interacts and often times I feel like if nobody has interacted already with the post then no one will so I make it a point to like and Interact with open stuff that is barely getting off. I use other peoples story to tell mine. I feel the interactive story telling argument with small post is what the RP thread does best.

Right, and that's what this place used to be, until the Psion Uprising stuff happened, Kai went to Earth, and everybody else took his good, interesting, one-time thing and turned it into the central part of their RPs.

You need to talk to Desert and say this needs to happen or any other player who has major influence. Tell them to not let other characters made by other people to be a top tier of importance.

It's no use. Remember when I did those couple of bounties? That was supposed to be lead up to an idea I was pitching to Hick, which I later made a separate RP thread for. I advertised it all over, but nobody cared. To make it worse, mine was actually built to DEAL with the crazy stuff people were writing in here, to give them a fitting world to backdrop their stories.
