I know, a lot of people bash Destiny for some of it's practices. Heck, I'm not going to lie to you, I've thrown my fair share of curses at the game and staff myself. But, every time I say something bad, or tell myself I'm gonna step away from the game for a bit. I find myself on the next week running the same Nightfalls, same Weekly Heroics, same Raids, Bounties and events. And I realized something, It's not the game that's bad, of course it can be expanded upon and that's what they're doing. But, the overall game itself is actually pretty solid. Destiny is a good game if it's able to keep the amount of retention as it does, as much as some people don't care to admit. I remember when they first announced Destiny, and I'm telling you I lost my pants at how hyped I was for it. Then when the game actually dropped I was VERY satisfied with the product. I'm a very simplistic dude, I generally just want to play games with friends, and that's what this game offered. Shooting at things with guns, with friends. And somewhere along the line, I kinda lost that, I became pretty bitter about the game. I let other people's outlook cloud my personal judgment about it. So I ended up getting into a argument with a buddy of mine. Long story short, he noticed I really wasn't the same as I was going into the game. I never really played for fun. I saw the game as a job, instead of a... Well, game. In my own eyes, I see Taken King as a new start for myself. I'm trying to go in as light-hearted and care free as I initially was. This time, I won't let the negative feedback towards the game get to me. I know I generalize a lot, but there are a lot of good people out there that don't bash people on their game preference. They're the people I find, you should stick around, especially in this great community Bungie and the players have built. No one should really take a game so seriously that they would go and try to change other peoples mind on it. I understand everyone has his or her own opinion of the game, and that is respected. But, you also gotta respect the opinion of the people that ACTUALLY enjoy playing the game. Anyways, I went on a big enough tangent. I just want everyone to have a good time. I'm genuinely hyped about the DLC, and I hope at least some of you are to. TL;DR: Destiny, is a good game if it's able to maintain the focus and have you coming back. [b]What else is there to say?
