Taken War: Petra, quest help
So, we are trying to do the Taken War quest and we can't get the Taken Champions to spawn, been waiting around and nothing, has anyone else been able to figure it out? Or the curious object?

I did the quest for earth. I was not in a fireteam. And you get the curious object as a drop from champion. I just stayed in divide. Anyone get through venus yet?

1 ReplyIt's not the patrol mission. Go to patrol on cosmodrome. Go to either the divide, rocket yards or skywatch. Wait for the taken to spawn. I did it in a fire team since the quest said you need to. Take out all the lieutenants in quick manner to get the champion to spawn. Once the champion is down you receive the curious object. What we did was go from the divide to rocket yard back to divide. It took some time but that's how we got it down.

3 RepliesI went to the divide and as I was killing a message popped up saying "the taken are corrupting the land" and then taken where there. After killing so many it said lutenists were landing and they are just yellow bar taken. After killing some of those it said "a zealot comes for your light" or something like that and a huge taken knight came out. After killing it, with me by myself and 2 passerbys, it died and gave me progress in the quest. The curious item is a [spoiler]rune stone for the court of oryx[/spoiler]

So, it should be showing up now. We just got done getting our butt kicked and didn't kill the guy in the Rocketyard. >_> It gets hectic as all get out.

For anyone still having problems with this quest, it's simple, they are a public event that appears in the specified place by the quest eg skywatch, divide and rocket yard, they usually appear 2 min (approx) after the old public events. You get the curious object after the first champion on earth.

I ran into the lieutenants in the Rocketyard a few minutes ago. Supposedly you have to take out all the lieutenants which will spawn a champion. All I saw was a big Taken Orb flying around that you couldn't put damage upon. If you came in contact with it, you couldn't see anything for a few seconds. Maybe you are suppose to follow it until it spawns a champion. You'll know when the even is going on because there will be a crazy battle going on with fallen, hive and taken. Also, it will notify on you the screen.

9 RepliesIm having trouble aswell.im assuming the champions might be similar to the knights and wolves as in previous dlcs. Curious obect i have no clue.
