Ah, good questions! character_prestige is the character's progress toward earning a mote of light after they hit max level. character_display_xp is not something that we use externally - there's some internal mechanisms that apparently leverage it, but I've been told that for any purpose that those of us building clients would care about, you can safely ignore that progression and use something more directly useful like character_level.
