I believe that she was in contact with the Queen prior to them going into battle with the Taken, since she (Mera Sov) stated that they all had their part to play in this. Eris might be working in concert with her, potentially gaining the power to bring the Awoken back from their Saturn-y graveyard. This can't be the end of Mera Sov and those Awoken, but I think they will be a big part of Year 2.
