You are missing a point here. Having an expansion every 3-6 months IS basically a subscription model. Instead of monthly fees, Bungie gives you new content with a bulk rate. I'm questioning the fact of why would someone that has Vanilla Destiny even still play this game if you are not purchasing the expansions. If the Nightfalls were not a moving endgame content, what do you still have to gain from doing a nightfall?

  • I think you missed the point my friend. Here's why. You cannot say that the cost for dlc is the same as a subscription fee. In destiny, not buying the dlc HAS taken away content from players without the dlc. That's a fact. But those players can still play limited activities. When you don't pay the subscription fee for a game, you can't play ANY activity. That's why they are different. I will go ahead and mention that you were unable to name any game that locked players out of some activities when they didn't pay for the dlc and wasn't subscription based. I used to play call of duty. And that game is as much of a cash cow as destiny. But.......it never locked me out of playlists when I didnt buy their map packs. I could still play the original maps. I was content with that. Skyrim had lots of dlc. Didnt stop me from playing with no dlc. But their dlc was so worth it.
