It's funny how all the illiterate asshats just assume posts like this are people bitching about not having access to new stuff without the new dlc.
But that's not it.
Putting new stuff aside. Those without ttk can't do much of [b][i][u] ANYTHING[/u][/i][/b] they were previously able to. The story is about it. Strike missions are locked at a rewardless level 20 (and their capped at 34) where's the sense in that? Not even a 30 or 34 mode to make it at least somewhat difficult.
PvP playlists that were always available are no longer. (Unless that's what the "classic"mode is, but is it rewardless like the strikes?)
Hell if you don't own ttk you can't even watch the new intro, they didn't even do that with the other dlc's.
It's a blatant push by the asshats behind bungvision to force those that wish to sill enjoy parts they use to be able to play, to buy their new crap.
Think of it like this, it would be like Blizzard locking World of Warcraft players out of all content past level 20 (regardless of what level you are or content you previously had access to) unless you bought their new expansions

In fact I think you will find content has been cut from me and everybody else who don't have TTK as well as those who buy the TTK. At least those who buy the TTK get a replacement for the lost content already purchased with Eris offering new TTK content only. Those who don't buy TTK but bought TDB get no replacement but lose all crota based bounties. With the move to TTK content only its not the worst thing for those with TTK but irregardless it is a loss of content to everyone. With this move those of us who have paid for that content but having it removed in favour of things that is not accessible unless we give them more money is a kick in the face from Bungie. Especially being in the UK where prices are far higher than elsewhere in the world. Content has been removed!!! There is no denying that.

No it wouldn't. They do lock people out of new content and lock people out of vendors that sold old gear. They don't allow you to get the new pvp gear or pve gear unless you upgrade. They do allow access to old pvp levels and older dungeons yes but the rewards and difficulty is basic at best. You get what everyone else gets when a new expansion comes out. It's a great expansion and if you're too ignorant then you deserve it.
