Content was absolutely taken away since you cannot do any campaign levels w/ the heroic modifier enabled.
My son enjoys replaying the campaign and challenging himself w/ the harder levels or to test different armor and weapons. He's probably played thru the story 2 or 3 times in the last two months, he does this w/ all his older/outdated games. But now, he can no longer play Destiny and experience it as he did the first time he played since it's been dumbed down and locked behind a paywall. He feels completely tossed aside and is looking forward to other games now instead of continuing on w/ Destiny. Funny, cuz first thing he did when he realized Destiny changed Year 1 accessibility was go and play Halo 3, right on cue, no shit :)

Your right the ability to change the difficulty level in vanilla destiny was content that came with the game and bungie has now ruined that complex with the 240 light heroic system it takes away all the other difficulties you could previously do and locks you out if you ddint buy TTK . IMOP after shedding out $70AUD FOR THIS its just not worth it . The grind is now more evident than ever. so much for scaling it down and getting to the good stuff quicker bungie. Legendary marks takign iver crucible and vanguard has ripped us all off and the marks are quite hard to accumulate lots like over 50 even 200 seems alot of work when everything requires some to upgrade somewhere.

Then buy your son the dlc. Or make him mow lawns to earn money. He can mow mine. Or clean my pool.

Wow. You really just don't get it. They paid for a product that then got reduced in quality a year later. It's not that complicated to see this was a dick move by Bungie.

Deej slowly closed his eyes. His friends would be buying there own drinks tonight.
