Everything you just named (Nightfall, Weekly etc) are features not content. NIghtfall takes the latest level-cap into consideration and features content to be played at that level. Same goes for Weekly. The new content is what is being featured now. Content you have not paid for. Therefore you don't get to access the features using said content. As for the raid you are still perfectly able to access Crota and Atheon.
