Can it not be equipped because your other characters are 32s and your hunter is a 40?
Seems more likely that this is the reason rather than having exotic class exclusives, but i may be wrong.

No. The weapon has a banner on it when placed onto other classes saying that it requires Hunter class

Cool thanks. Wanted this above all others so guess im going to have to level up hunter. Was levelling for the Thor hammer titan but that gun...... i want it....
