If the dismantle step is the same as the shotgun/fusion rifle steps, you only need the parts from the dismantle. So, instead of 10 fusion rifles, it was 5 rare. Or 2 legendaries. Of course, I never did the quest fr the Ace of Spades; but it looked similar to the quest given for rank 2 Gunsmith.
