So I've paid for Netflix for an entire year! I've invested so much time into Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, I even grinded every episode of Friends last month! Now, I log in today and all of it is gone! I can't even watch movies that I have been able to watch for a full year!
I don't get it. I've been a loyal customer for a year, and just because I stopped paying, I get locked out of content. Well I wont be giving them my business anymore, scammers.
Do you get it now?
EDIT 1: I seem to be getting a lot of similar replies, usually directed at claiming Destiny is not a "subscription" service and that we the players "own" the game. I'm sorry boys and girls, we do not own anything. We paid for a liscence to access Destiny's content; content which is subject to change or even be removed for those who don't update their liscence. This was all outlined in the EULA you blindly accepted a year ago.
EDIT 2: "LIMITED USE LICENSE: Bungie grants you the non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, limited right and license to install and use one copy of this Program solely for your non-commercial use. All rights not specifically granted are reserved by Bungie. The Program is licensed, not sold, for your use. Your license confers no title or ownership in this Program, and should not be construed as a sale of any rights in this Program."
EDIT 3: Jesus this is still going, this is fantastic. It looks like the verdict is roughly about 50/50 on people agreeing with me, or calling me some derivative of the word retard. To each their own I guess. I'd hope you guys get this worked up when Norton Antivirus tries to charge you for updates, and then removes features when you don't pay. Because, you know, you bought a disk, so you're clearly entitled.

Thank you so much it this

so glad that people on both sides of this argument can't have a reasonable discord, instead referring to the other side as retards. Clearly the intelligence of this community is at a new low. Tired of this game and this community.
-
Only an idiot would use Netflix as an example to justify the stupidity of his decisions concerning Destiny. A total retard at that.

Just got my car back from the dealer. They offered to upgrade my CD player to an iPod. I declined but now my CD player is a cassette player.

Bad analogy
-
Really not the same thing.
-
ISIS uses this analogy to torture innocent children, it's so bad.
-
If you stopped paying me for a service why would I give it to you?
-
I won't comment on your bad analogy (some people already replied with better analogies below) but the real question is: Even if they can do anything they want because we signed the EULA, does it means it's ok? Should we, as customers, encourage this behavior? Do you feel like it's fair for people to not be able to play in Crucible, where gear shouldn't matter? Hell, I couldn't even kill a bounty on earth yesterday just because they upped the level to 40 for that mission... I have the 40$, I chose to wait and see how they would handle the expansion for everyone. I was extremely disappointed in the paywalls they put in place over the content we already had access to and they will not receive my money. End of story. Netflix on the other hand will continue to amaze me with his low monthly rate and infinite source of content.

Such a good post

Guess what? Destiny isn't a subscription based service. Argument invalidated. With destiny, you're purchasing contentent, not temporary access.

I like this analogy

Edited by Hames: 9/18/2015 9:54:03 PMLol the analogy is hilarious, well played. I am sick of people whining about this stuff. No one is being locked out of any content from year one. Story missions are still available. Year one strikes are still available in the Legacy Strike playlist. Year one PvP is still available in the vanilla playlists. Vault, Crota, and PoE are still available. I fail to see what people are locked out of. If you're upset that you can't access year two gear or level up for Nightfalls, the new raid, etc, then you're out of luck. Why would you be given access to year two gear when you didn't purchase year two content? Just because content has been reorganized doesn't mean it's been taken from you.

10/10

doesn't Netflix rotate their selection anyways?
-
Gunna make another account because you deserve a 2nd bumb, sir.
-
Your analogy is shit.
-
By your thinking it would be fair for a company to release a game then on day 2 turn it off and make it unavailable and you would have no cause for complaint?

Finally! A voice in the wilderness! That actually makes sense!

Thing is its so true but no one gets it
