Good thing you still own the physical CD then!
Also, no it's not like that at all. A CD is a physical commodity. Destiny is not. You paid for a liscence to access Destiny. The game will change and require additional payment to acces that content, even content you may have previoudly had access to. Read the EULA you blindly clicked accept to.
There would probably have been one on that CD as well, not that you would've read it anyway.

I own a destiny disc. I paid for that disc. Content that was on the disc that I paid for, would be inaccessible without buying TTk. So no.

You don't get it. The disc means literally nothing. It is a key, tied to your account, which lets you access the greater platform. Read the EULA, it explains it. Or don't, just ignore it and come bitch online about something you know nothing about.
