Good luck with the boards, I really don't think you have a case.
But you mention this is the first game to remove content, let me edumacate you:
The flock just launch with a steadfast expeiration date chosen before launch meaning that there is allowed to be an end date to a game, legally.
Though the flock isn't a great example so how about WoW. Each expansion the arena is moved to the highest level. This would be Destiny's equivalent to ToO. I never have heard a complaint about that. And it is literally the same thing you are facing.
What about another Bungie favorite, Halo 2. Go ahead, put the disk in your Xbox. Now try to connect to online multiplayer... I'm waiting. Oh wait, it's gone.
Why not just play City of Heroes than... Wait, You can't? Weird, this is the nature of online gaming. Because it cost money to support the servers they are allowed to remove what they please. Just because they come out with a product, it doesn't mean they have to pay for eternity just to keep it open. You are buying a license to access their server, nothing more.
I do agree with one point you made, vote with your wallet. It's smart. Give money to companies you respect. Enjoy whatever you decide to play, especially City of Heroes.
