RIP Elevator Cabal- you will be remembered

One of my first experiences with the new TTK story missions was seeing this brave cabal try to escape the elevator. He was unsuccessful and fell to his death. Let us remember this brave cabal. I recorded it, the link is here. RIP Edit 1: It seems there are a few theories. 1. It was his first day on the job/a few days from retirement, and he showed up a little late. Big mistake. He was so young! 2. Before heading to work, our brave friend stopped to eat a caburger. He exceeded the recommended weight limit for the elevator and he fell to his death. Tragic. Fast food kills, no matter the species. Edit 2: 150 replies. The Elevator Cabal is being remembered. Edit 3: Woke up to over 300 replies. The Elevator Cabal's memory will not be forgotten. Keep bumping guardians, spread the word. His final moments described bellow... *tear*

He had just retired from 15 years as a foot soldier. He had a lovely wife that he met during his younger years at Sand Eaters High. Him and his friends has decided to join the military and protect their race. A ship was on its way to the military base to pick that brave legionary up and take him home to his family and 2 kids. He was saying goodbye to the friends that he had made over the past few years and the ones that he had joined the military with. The ones that had saved his life on the battlefield. The ones that he would never see again... On his way up to the mess hall where everyone would throw a farewell party, he heard growls and screams in the distance. He grabbed his slug rifle and ran towards the distant noises. Moving quickly but cautiously he heard a blood curtling scream out of the corner of his eye. The legionary looked over his shoulder and saw his commanding officer, the strongest centurion out there, get snatched up in the blink of an eye by an unknown force. In an instant...the most powerful centurion in the base was gone. The brave legionary kept moving, trying to erase the horrified image from his memory. One by one, he saw his friends get snatched up by this unknown entity. Out of the corner of the legionary's eye, he saw one of his friends. Something wasn't right, the body was...twitching. A sense of agony could be felt within. Nearing closer to his friend, the frightened legionary tapped his friends shoulder. A scream so loud, it could shatter glass, tore through the air and his friend turned around and began to shoot. The legionary pounded his fist into the frightening face of his friend that he once knew to be funny and joyful. There was no body, instead it was snatched up into thin air. Standing paralyzed in fear, the legionary had just realized that he had killed his closest friend. Screams and agonizing cries could be heard behind. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw an army of these...monsters. Shots could be heard coming from the distance. Distinct shots that he had remembered in the past. It was a guardian. Great, that's just what he needed. The legionary ran towards the stairs only to find out that the stairs were on fire. His only option was to take the elevator. He pushed the button and it opened. Of course, he was told to never use an elevator in an emergency but now it was the only thing that would save him. He pressed the top button. He was going to the roof to try and flag down a ship to take him away from this place. The elevator rose, creaking as the gears churned against each other. The legionary was going to make it. He knew that he was safe. Just a few more floors and he would be home. 8.......7.......6.......5............ The elevator stopped. He began to reach for the emergency hatch at the top of the elevator when the cable snapped. It was now a race against time. The legionary opened the hatch as the elevator began to fall. It landed on the floor that he had just left from. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a guardian wave. Using the standard jet pack, the legionary jumped towards the hatch when suddenly the fuel ran out. The tanks must have gotten shot when he was fighting his friend. The legionary grasped onto the hatch and began to pull himself up when a piece of the upper floor came crashing down onto the elevator. The elevator plummeted down to the bottom floor. The legionary was facing his uncertain demise. In his last few moments, he remembered all the times that he had with his friends and family. He remembered the late night poker games and his two kids. He remembered that his only son was graduating from Dust Giants Primary School. He would miss his graduation. His daughter had just been born but a few months ago. His wife would be awaiting for his return tomorrow, only to be greeted by a call saying that he was lost during an assault on Phobos. The elevator would reach the bottom any second now. 3... 2... 1...
-Noah D
Edit 4: 500 and counting. The Elevator Cabal is honored. Keep it up! *ElevatorCabal's memory awakens*
