In all honesty, this business model is bad for all gamers. How long before it becomes common place to lock off all content in order to force purchases?

When you stop paying subfees...and cant even LOG ON to a game's servers to play it. That's getting locked out. What happened here is that Bungie simply decided to stop CARRYING people along who refused to support the game by buying DLC. Up until now, Bungie had basically been giving away for free---the access to the end game----everyone. They are no longer giving it away. All other aspects of Destiny you are still free to play. Though it may no longer be in your preferrred form. But then Bungie isn't obligated to do that.

Edited by Tea Are Ohh Why: 9/18/2015 5:57:14 PMThe game isn't locked but you lose out on a lot of content if you choose to not get the DLC. If you like Destiny that much, you'll buy the DLC. If you don't like it that much then just do the stuff that's still available. If you can't afford it, trade some old games into Gamestop and get it.

I know the whole game isn't locked. I was simply providing a scenario. Like the old saying goes: Give an inch, and they'll take a mile.
