They didn't remove anything you can still play all the missions l, strikes, and raids before TTK. You just can't play endgame content which is meant to reward the best stuff.

both trials and iron banner never required max level. so why does it require TTK? Because they want to force purchases, plain and simple. They removed features, and this is also fact.
-
Trials isn't even up right now... So... argument is moot
-
no it is not. Bungie has stated they are not allowing access to trials unless you have TTK. This also goes for Elimination.
-
I have ttk, and Trials isn't up
-
Not yet, but that doesn't mean I'm not locked out of it.
-
Doesn't mean you will be... Way to jump to conclusions
-
Bungie stated it on the differences between year 1 and TTK, so yeah, it's already been decided by them.
-
You mean trials that was only available to DLC holders? That trials? How quickly people forget, bungie has been doing this since TDB, people just havent noticed because they had Y1 expansion passes. Suck it up and shell out the 40 (well worth it, IMO) or move on.

Trials is an advertised House Of Wolves mode. They removed an advertised feature form the game, and in turn, also removed Elimination.
-
What features did they remove? And iron banner and trials is level based so it would make a difference, they also give some of the best gear for PvP.
-
it is leveled based, but someone six levels below you can still rock you if they have the skill. Well, they removed all Weeklies, all the highest tiered strike playlists, the ability to choose which PVP mode you want to play, the dailies, all heroic modifiers to non-raid content, Trials of Osiris, and the Elimination game mode (which only happened sometimes).

All of which are endgame excluding PvP gamemodes. I don't fully agree on the way they handled PvP, but all the other things you mentioned you can still do, just not the endgame versions which give the best rewards
