Antiquated Rune
Has anyone else given the Antiquated Rune a shot in the court of oryx? Just got done trying it with 6 others and couldn't even get the bosses health halfway down. Any thoughts?
Edit: got it done with a 3 man team you guys were right it's easy when you get the buff

Did it as a 273, was -blam!-ing hard but we did it with 6

Solo'd after third attempt, it's easy with Telesto and a launcher.

Easy with a TEAM (not nec. fire team, but ppl that know what they are doing) of two or three. Harder with more, as randoms will do stupid shit that messes up the play. 1. Take out ads 2. Halfway through #1, one DESIGNATED person take down sword. 3. Soon as ads down, other two drop boss health. 4. Swordbearer SMASH. 5. repeat 1-4 a second time. 6. Done As long as everyone knows their job, easy. Randoms enter and run off to grab sword to kill ads or other nonsense, then takes much longer.

Did it today... And it is basically the Crota fight. Kill Swordbearer, dps Crota, and sword him while he kneels. Much more intense than the Crota fight, since you don't have the space that you do in the Crota fight, and there are plenty of adds as well. I tried using my heavy sword, but he is immune even when kneeling. It's the most fun that I have had in this game yet. Without gally as a real option, weapon choices are a little limited. I used a blue 290 heavy, and my bro had weapons of light and hit him with rockets and sniper. When he started to kneel, I shot him with shadow shot, and everyone but the sword guardian had to focus on adds and get their weapons reloaded for the next down. Took 2 swords of I remember correctly. The bubble made it possible. Without it, the dps just wasn't enough to kneel him quick enough before I emptied my magazine. It also have shelter to reload. I assume that tier 3 will rotate every week... I really want to do that again. Took us 2 tries, first was exploratory, when I tried my sword as well. Died every time I tried.

Tried it last night with 5 people. 3 of us were 290-292. 1 was 298. And the other was a 240. We tried to invite them to chat to see if they could invite anybody and increase our odds but nope. We tried twice and then we gave up. We killed the ogre both times but you have a limited window to pound that stupid wizard bitch.

I did it with a raid group we killed the boss in 30+ seconds it was way to easy

Found 9 people on patrol. Went through 3 tier 3s and so many tier 1s and 2s

Finished with a friend and a random. Wasn't hard. You just gotta use call outs and pay attention.

I go to the dreadnaught to see if there is anyone around to do court. Last night there was a guy running around the area so I waved and he came over we did a couple of the first two levels and then three other guys showed up and did the antiquated ruin. With five of us it was pretty easy. Got lots of gear from doing the court not sure what I got from the antiquated

Edited by Gsus4LiFe: 9/22/2015 6:05:30 PMHold out in the entrance of the court by taking cover behind rocks, take out the eyes, followed by continuous DPS on the Ogre, repeat until the Ogre is dead, then sword the wizard to death. Works every-time. EDIT: We did it with a fireteam of 3.

I've gotten multiple antiquated runes beat.. as long as you've got 5 people they are super easy

Did the thing like back to back 4/5 times and it didn't give anything particularly good. It want to hard either (once you have enough guardians). Hoping that there is another rune for me to try that gives better rewards.
