Executor Hideo, what Dead Orbit hides from the Vanguard doesn't matter as long as it doesn't harm the city. We don't know enough about the Traveler to know that it is the savior the Speaker says it is!
The Seven Seraphs may know a few things you may want to consider before assuming such a strict hold over the city's people...

Its not just the speaker who says the Traveler saved us. And Dead Orbit witheld information of a Golden Age site because they wanted the technology for themselves, but could not handle it. They thought, "either we get it or no one gets it."
