Toland was obsessed with the hive and all their practices, I am obsessed with the fallen, who are you obsessed with? Who do you want to know inside and out?
Post why below.
Here's some of my theories on them:
Fallen
they have an amazing hierarchy of royalty. If you didn't know the dregs are actually just vandals with their arms cut off. The captain's are just vandals with better gear. I assume barons are just captains that hold land. The Kell may be equivalent to a king, but I'm unsure.
So what made them scavengers? What made them fall? Was it us? The traveler? The darkness?
Hive
they exist outside death! They are not born into life, nor do the pass on from it. They are simply created and destroyed.
And horrifyingly, created again.
Vex
computing organic robots. Who created them? The precursors? The darkness? The traveler? Are they trying convert all organic life into their hybrid like?
Will we be able to defeat them?
Cabal
these brutal soldiers are easily holding their own against one of our greatest enemy, the vex. Who do they fight for? I've read grimoire that stated some merely fear their command while others follow.
Traveler
is it evil? Is it just misunderstood?
Will it be our salvation our destruction?
Come check out the collective of knowledge and discuss the lore of all these and more!

I'm incredibly worried about the Traveler considering Grimoire now suggests it was going to leave us before Rasputin stepped in. In the best-case scenario it's been worn down(as some of the dreams of alpha lupi cards suggest) to the point where it doesn't know how to do anything but run. In the worst case it could actually be a method used by whatever's behind the Darkness to find new places to conquer; the Fallen have always called it The Great Machine and that might not be impossible if it just happened to exude energy passively which we mistook for sentience. Of course, knowing the Traveler isn't some benevolent protector also raises questions about the Speaker's motives. Either he's delusional or there's something shady going on here. That we're having a revelation like this when it's only year 2 would lead me to believe the secret won't make it until the end of the franchise before being exposed; it'd be interesting to see how the Vanguard and others react knowing they've been giving lives for something that was about to abandon them.
