Sirens blare, fire crackles, and the distant sounds of firefights and fallen brothers crying for aid. He suited up. Armed to the teeth with only the finest cabal gear. AHEG- anti hive eradication gear. And his firearm. He stepped out of his barracks one foot after another breathing. Knowing this will be his last breaths. He will not make it out alive. But he WILL FIGHT. He will fight for the universe, fight for his life, and fight for his family. No hive will lay foot on the cabal homeland. He pushes the button to call the elevator that leads to the entrance of the battle ground. The door opens. He pauses. Counts to 3. And lays a heavy foot in the elevator. The door closes behind him. He stands there feet planted, sweating war torn hands. He knows the second those elevator doors open, he will be thrown to the wolves and fight the endless enemy known as the hive. He will kill every last one of them before he dies. The elevator began to creak and shake. He was unnerved but stood strong. The cables break, he struggles to find a foothold but can't.
