All people who ally with Dead Orbit are creepy. For a faction who serves the Traveler, they spend a lot of time doing illegal things. They have been said to try to tamper with the dead. No good comes from that. Thankfully, The New Monarchy watched over them.... And the Speaker. Who knows what he thinks.... Letting them do what they want. It's said they made FWC a big times faction out of despair. Apparently they needed to take down a rogue faction. They did that, so why do they still exist? Because the speaker is a horrible leader, that's why!

While I admire the Goal of New Monarchy, Dead Orbit does not "Serve the Traveler." We seek to escape it. The enemy is right when they assume that us Guardians are a bunch of loyal lapdogs who protect a dying god. One alliance between our enemies is all it would take. One hard push on the tower. The battle of Twilight gap would be preferable in comparison...We believe we need to find somewhere safer than a City on an earth that doesn't even belong to us anymore, surrounded on all sides by darkness that seeks to crush us and our dying god.

The speaker is not our leader. The Consensus currently is. Either way, the Faction that was rising to destroy the other Factions were destroyed by New Monarchy. (Read Bannerfall Grimoire)
