Sounds like you're not really that experienced then.... You have to use strategy, and preferably the perk that sends your smash out in a wave. Like Razor's Edge for Bladedancers. That's what makes Strikers ultra-deadly. That, and increased armor while throwing it out. As for Defender, it's not an easy class to run. Pure and simple, but the rewards are high, i.e. constant/near constant victory. If you feel outmatched as a titan, you should try a different class, or just not play PvP. Sorry.
