Endless Steps- Ishtar Sink, Venus.
A figure moved along the cliffs above the Endless Steps. Hundreds of feet below him, dozens of Vex patrolled their territory. There were Goblins, Hobgoblins, Harpies, Minotaurs, Hydras, and even the odd Cyclops. It was an army. An army that stood between him and his prey.
It was time to get to work.
His target appeared at the top of the Steps. It was a massive Vex Gate Lord, easily a hundred feet tall. As it appeared, the Vex bowed before it, praising it as a god. The Hunter drew his Void Bow, and fired a shot directly into its eye. It went berserk, and smashed the surrounding structures before collapsing. The remaining Vex were outraged, and in a fit of rage searched for he who slayed their god. The Hunter pushed a button on the side of his helmet, and a strange song began to play. He then made a running jump off the cliff, firing his remaining Void shots into the crowd. He then drew his revolver with a twirl, and went to work. Dozens of Vex fell before him as he unloaded volley after volley into the machines. Once the trigger fired no more, he pulled out a sniper and set to work on the others. Once that was empty, he pulled out his sword, and cleaved the remaining machines in two. Once the crowd was cleared, he climbed the Steps, and claimed his prize: The Gate Lord's Mind Core. He emptied a bit of technology milky fluid into a small canister, and placed it on his back. He then turned around, and descended the Steps.
