  • Like it's just so stupid to the point where I don't need to disprove it

    - No proof Speaker is human - No proof Speaker comes from Earth - Never seen Speaker's face - Speaker has been with the Traveler for centuries -Speaker has a special bond with the Traveler -Taox ran from the Hive with the Traveler - Taox was a Hive mother and thus could live much longer than others of her species - Taox's species were bipedal and three eyed - Gender doesn't work the same for them as it does for humans so just because it is a 'male' voice doesn't determine the Speaker's gender I know I know speculation and convenient circumstances are just so dumb it's like I don't even have a brain.

  • Speaker is a position. The one we know today hasn't always been the Speaker.

  • And how do you know? The Speaker grimoire says only that there has always been a Speaker and that they are anonymous with an unusual connection to the Traveler. Do you have more info?

  • Warlocks can sense darkness if the speaker was give they would know. The ahamkara are dragon like. And hive worms are worms. The Titan warlock and hunter doesn't even make sense: those are classes not a single thing or person.

  • I forget which book it is but there is a book where Yul describes himself as long, and winged which sounds dragon like. Also, old English called dragons Wyrms. Old Germanic called dragons Wurms. There could be connection there.

  • Oryx has wings too. Doesn't mean he is arhamkara. But the theory is plausible

  • He is part Ahamkara because he ingested the worm so yeah he does have wings because of that.

  • Ahamkara are NOT the Worms. They are the Dragons which Crota deemed as an insult to the Worms.

  • He did not say they were an insult, he said their freedom was because the Hive gods should belong only to the hive. It seems more like Oryx was being selfish about his own gods and wanted to shut them in cells to keep others from worshipping them. The text never distinguishes the dragons from worms.

  • Ahamkara's are dragons, or did you miss that in the grimoire? They're wish-fulfilling dragons, same as how it's described in the Books of Sorrows.

  • And yet the speak the same way as the worms? They make bargains for power same as the worms? They have wings same as the worms? Oh right but they're different...

  • Yeah dude no need to act like a dick; hey did you know that the Worms are described with wings and jaws and granted wishes to the Hive and speak with the same idiosyncrasies as the Ahamkara???

  • Toax was not a hive, they didn't turn to the hive until AFTER they consumed the worms

  • I'm using hive as a broad sense of all of those connected species and to aren't the first politically correct dude to tell me this. I know what you are telling me it's just easier to say hive

"Warlocks can sense darkness" Thus I give you Toland and Osiris, exiled by the Speaker. And I did not say he was Hive. He was one of the Krill People, he did not ingest a worm. The Worms are larval Ahamkara ingested by the Hive. Yul the Honest worm said "Behold my vast displacement, my curled wings, my coiled length, my folded jaw." Every instance in game or grimoire with the Ahamkara uses the "Oh _____ mine..." Phrase same as the Worms do when speaking to Oryx. "Reality is a fine flesh, oh general mine" said the Worm to Oryx. "Reality is the finest flesh, oh bearer mine." Said the Ahamkara bones to the Voidwalker. The idea behind the classes was that our most powerful enemies also embody the three ideals that the guardians have been separated into. That we are very similar in how we gain power. As we become stronger we become more like our enemies.

Could be related in a way l. But a larval animal doesn't make much sense. Creatures of the void could speak the same way. And if the speaker wanted to kill the tablet he could have done it by know. And Osiris and told and would have made a big deal out of the speaker being the mother of the hive or krill

  • Perhaps they didn't know yet but were learning too much for the Speaker to risk it. You're the one who says Warlocks have the power to sense Darkness yet Taox is not the Darkness nor Hive. In fact Taox tried to eliminate the Hive before they even came into existence. Osiris gear very clearly tells us not to trust the Speaker. The Speaker grimoire card explains that they care much more about reviving the Traveler rather than saving humanity. Taox only cares about fleeing from the Hive and Darkness with the Traveler.

Also, he said Taox was the mother of the Hive to which you responded she wasn't. You said that she was the mother of the Hive in a previous reply to him.

If that's the way the story is going it might be hard to deliver it. Many have never even heard of Toax. As much as I would love to see the story go like that. It might not happen. The speaker could just be an evil dude. Maybe Osiris is wrong could just be two sides of the same coin. No one is good or evil

  • I only provided speculation in a post about lore. Don't know for sure where the story is going none of us do but the way the lore is written now this is a possibility. Don't have to be an asshat next time you see someone comment on a lore post that you don't seem to know much about.

  • Most of that is pretty stupid. Looks like some others agree. And to be true no one really knows the lore. We just got a whole lot of stuff about lore 1 week ago it takes to time to understand it. They just added a ton of people one week ago in the lore. So it's very unpredictable what will happen next.
