This is so stupid. I paid 100 dollars on destiny. Now I can't play that anymore since I don't have TTK? Really? What the -blam!-. I can't even afford TTK right now. This is bullshit. I can't play destiny the game that so much memories came from and now I can't play it anymore. Is this even legal? Like now CMON. Now I regret buying destiny........
;_;
Edit 1: all of you are -blam!-. How about being in my situation and understand. You probably would be mad too. Stop being ignorant for once and actually think please.
Edit 2: thanks for all the people that are supporting me and actually giving me advice instead of going apeshit on me.
;_;
Edit 3: Thanks for 1221 replies :D. My thread blew up fast. 1221 replies under a day. Thank you all! Much love to you all

Destiny is a theme park, and you paid for admission. You want to visit Destiny Land again? You will be directed to the ticket booth. I have fond memories of Disney World, but just because I purchased a annual pass one year doesn't mean I'll get in next year. The business model is such that you did not purchase a copy of Destiny, you purchased access to a service no different than Netflix or Hulu. They're offering content for a fee, and reserving the rights to change, add, and/or remove content, or otherwise amend access to that content, at their own discretion with or without prior notification or consent of its subscribers. This is the paradigm shift in main stream gaming in which consumers of content are slowly no longer purchasing a copy of that content as a product, but rather purchase access to that content as a service. Welcome to the modern main stream gaming industry.

If you had a job you could afford it. If you play to much you cant get a job. See how the circle works?

Edited by BoofRiddim: 9/23/2015 8:56:27 PMThis is like saying you bought Call of Duty 4 when it released and a year later you can't afford Modern Warfare 2. Both, albeit games from the Call of Duty franchise, are separate games. After a year new features are implicated and upgrades are made. This is the same thing. Also keep in mind that you are dealing with Activision here. You had a long long time to save up the $40 so I don't know why you didn't. I still suggest you do though because it is worth it if you love Destiny.
Not going apeshit on you just respectfully disagreeing
They aren't taking my money. I hand it to them gently.
-
will these stupid posts never end
-
If you really like the game as much as you seem, and I respect that as you seem very passionate about it, you will find a way. Get rid of your bitterness and entitlement, realize you are missing out on an awesome new game. Yes, TTK is a new game. Save up. Go get it.
-
If you love destiny so much then why didn't you buy TTK sounds like it's your fault
-
Why are you not saving up?
-
Or you could you know, adult. Budget your money, be responsible, etc etc. it's not like the price tag was an unknown until release.
-
It's only $40..
-
I believe the message they were trying to send to people like you was move on
-
Shut up vag
-
They way bungie did is bullshit. Basically putting over half the game behind a $40 pay wall when you've spent $100 plus dollars to date. Bottom line: IT IS BULLSHIT
-
So if you can't afford it, how are you paying for the phone/computer you are on now, and how are you paying for the Internet. $40 is nothing at all, just saying, just get a job and call it good...
-
We were all in ur situation. But we all got TTK like true fans
-
This is so stupid. I paid 100 dollars on destiny. Now I can't play that anymore since I don't have TTK?
That's a bold face lie. You can still play every mission, strike, raid, map, etc. That you paid for.

Edited by One Shot Shy: 9/23/2015 10:39:49 PMNo. They are not taking it away. You choose to give it away, or not. Your choice, seems pretty cut and dry. Master your own Destiny.

It's literally 4 hours of work

I have been summoned to brighten everyone's day :)

Lol. I knew all the console plebs were gonna react this way. Welcome to mmo and quasi-mmo economics mate. Enjoy your stay.
-
The only things that changed are the exclusion of weekly and daily activities and the crucible and strike playlists getting condensed. Those are annoyances for sure. However, the new content is really fun so far, and if you can scrape up the cash in some way it would definitely be worth it.
-
...and one of my buddies spent about 1M on a wife, now ex wife, that he can't cfuk anymore. She lives in his house, he lives in a basement apartment. He is less upset than you are over Bungie doing exactly what they said they would do when you first bought the game.
-
So serious question.... are u saying that you're not able to kill Atheon or Crota anymore? Or do PoE? Because I have a feeling that you can.
-
Edited by DudeQuixote: 9/23/2015 8:55:44 PMUgh, in so tired of seeing these posts. You could easily have recycled enough cans between when the TTK release was announced and now to buy the collectors edition. You still have ALL the content you paid for. This is an evolving platform which means on the weeks that new content is featured you will be excluded. Instead of running to the internet and bitching, be proactive. If you want it, go earn it.
-
Get TTK man, seriously, it's worth every penny, it's almost an entirely new game, with a ton of secrets and improvements.
