I bought the taken king expansion on my xbox 360 six days ago went today and try to install it on my xbox one and it tells me I have to repurchase the add-on.

Agreed, it has always transferred over if you buy it on 360, for all my season passes and other games. So?

Well yeah dude ... Xbox is not backwards compatible ... so what do you expect ? You have to buy it twice, once for each console if you wanna play it on both.

Well since they offered the people who bought the digital copy of the game on the 360 before a certain date to transfer it over to the one which I did. Then the first and second expansion they didn't say they had any type of transfer that was going to be possible and yet its on the one. Thirdly its not right that a person should be penalized for buying the game add-on on one console. When half of the content is now locked I have an issue with that since I have put about $160.00 into this game already.
