This is like saying you bought Call of Duty 4 when it released and a year later you can't afford Modern Warfare 2. Both, albeit games from the Call of Duty franchise, are separate games. After a year new features are implicated and upgrades are made. This is the same thing. Also keep in mind that you are dealing with Activision here.
You had a long long time to save up the $40 so I don't know why you didn't. I still suggest you do though because it is worth it if you love Destiny.
Not going apeshit on you just respectfully disagreeing

Actually this is not the same thing. I bough COD Ghost 2 years ago and I'm still able to play the game with all it features. This is not the case with Destiny. We paid 100$ last year for a game that we can't continue playing at his fullest without spending another 40 to 100$. People who bought the game last year should be able to have access the it old content.
But at the same time, I understand Activision/Bungie. They add more content to the game and we dont pay a monthly payment like the other
MMO. So they have to ask for more payment. I'm perfectely willing to pay the Dev for more stuff. But at the very least, respect your Customer by giving them what they've already pay for. They should have access to nightfalls, crusible and old strike. Just like everyone else.
