TTK it friggin good. Vastly superior to vanilla. However, it seems to have swept a lot of other issues under the rug. While a lot of questions can be answered by grimoire cards, they shouldnt have to be.
That shit should be in game; or at least a little of it. Ever see the Codex in Mass Effect? Even something as simple as that would help.
Halo and it's novels are always a good example. The story of halo is more or less coherent with just the games, and the novels really enriched the material. You understand and appreciate who John and Blue Team are. You're excited to finally have them together in game in halo 5.
That sort of connective lore is still missing in destiny. Luckily my girlfriend is a grimoire card junkie and she always tells me cool new bits of info she finds out, but the game by itself has little to no background to latch onto.
Like cayde apparently used to be human? He died in battle on friggin' EUROPA. Then some scientist took his conciousness and implanted it into an exo body.
Why isn't that mentioned anywhere in game?! It's been a whole goddamned year!
Ttk was a step in the right direction, but the narrative -blam!- ups are still all over the place and as glaring as ever.

Because I honestly don't think they don't know what they're doing. As soon as that notification thing pops up at the bottom of your screen you should have been able to press R3 to read it. I can see them making the excuse "But the last gen can't handle it!" Oh bull -blam!-ing god damn -blam!-ing -blam!-ing shit that's the biggest crock of shit anyone could ever -blam!-ing make to attempt to excuse them out of trying to make their own -blam!-ing game better. Lazy is what it is. -blam!-ing lazy.

It's not because of any of these is it?... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/156311702/0/0

Absolutely! Even novels would help the story progression so much! Bump

The expansions of destiny are slowly releasing more backstory, which makes it that much more crazy and interesting!

Cayde 6 was human!
