Hey. Can I tell you something?
My parents are Korean. And they grew up in Korea where Manga is quite popular due to Japan being so close
So when I started to grow up they showed me what they grew up with.
Since we now have animated versions of Manga or anime.
So when I started to see what my parents grew up with I ended up reading and watching Naruto and Dragon Ball Z.
So to my family anime is something to remember as a childhood memory. I have some fond memories of sitting in the Manga section of my towns library and reading some of that stuff.
It's all about the culture and where you grew up. I'm perfectly fine if you don't enjoy it, I just want you to know that there are some perfectly normal people that have watched anime.
It's not really meant for an American audience anyway. It more caters to an Asian audience as understanding and culture is different there.
Although I have to say the American fans of anime can be quite cringeworthy. Butchering Japanese words and wearing the stupidest outfits when it's not even Halloween.
